I found myself completely present in each and every moment, trying to observe and absorb everything.
I began to reflect on these last two weeks and think of ways to articulate exactly how I have felt over this trip, and how this experience has made me evolve. Before I begin, I just want to say - I'm not sure words will do it justice.
On my last day of the Maxus Global Exchange I jammed all my belongings into my suitcase and begrudgingly prepared to say good bye. I took a deep breath, sat on my bed, and stared around the apartment that I had started to call home. I began to reflect on these last two weeks and think of ways to articulate exactly how I have felt over this trip, and how this experience has made me evolve. Before I begin, I just want to say – I’m not sure words will do it justice.
I found myself completely present in each and every moment, trying to observe and absorb everything. I had the opportunity to talk with so many different Maxus people about their specialities, passions, and perspectives. Coming out of the Global Exchange I’ve gained a larger network of close friends that I know I can tap into in the future. There is no doubt in my mind that these relationships will continue to grow and flourish.
Besides media, one of Poland’s biggest passions is Football, and when I was there Team Poland was on fire (during two of the games)! The excitement occurring throughout the office was inspiring: from setting up for the game, to the final ringing of the gong when Poland scored the winning goal in the game that would move them to the next round. I soon learned that every time something amazing happens in the office, the full team comes together in the middle of the floor and someone rings that gong! I think all Maxus offices should join them in this tradition!
Now that my journey has come to an end, I must say ‘ I would love to stay just one more week (or several) with my new extended Maxus family. However, I’m excited to get back to NYC and share my adventure, knowing that I always have someone in Poland to lend an extra hand.
Until next time, Maxus Poland ‘ Na zdrowie!
